2018 Supplemental Rules

General Rules

  1. The AMA rule book shall be followed in its entirety. However, AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. supplemental rules shall govern those cases not provided for in the AMA rule book.

  2. All AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. Officers: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Congress Delegates, Points Steward, and Membership Director, will be allowed complimentary admission to all AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. sanctioned meets. This will apply to gate fee only and only if the officer has a membership card as proof of office.

  3. No AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. officer or member of the Executive Board may spend more than $400.00 without prior approval of the board.

  4. Elected officers must maintain official records. Examples of such records include meeting minutes, financial records, bank statements and membership files. At the end of the officer’s term the records will be transferred to the newly elected officer.

  5. All officers are expected to be present at the November Sanction meeting.

  6. AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. may hold a March, July and October meetings. Date and time to be determined and communicated via social media and email to all officers, clubs and promoters.

  7. AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. points paying Hare Scramble/ Enduro meets can be sanctioned with a minimum of 14 days’ notice, recommended 30 days’ notice, on open Enduro/Harescramble dates only.

    1. Promoter must notify all other AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. promoters via email.

  8. AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. clubs and promoters are responsible for providing an electronic list of riders to the Director of Membership within 7 working days after the meet. Clubs or promoters not making payments of collected funds with the 7 days may be charged a $20.00 service fee per occurrence. All fees will be collected before sanctioning for the following year’s meets will be allowed. If fees are not sent to AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. within 30 days, the Executive Board may contact the AMA and request removal of remaining sanctions.

  9. The Points Steward will post the unofficial standings of the top 10 riders in each class within 10 days following the sanction meeting, of the final points paying meet on the AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. website. Riders will have 14 days to respond to any possible errors or needed corrections. After that 14 day period, the results will be final. All other points’ standings will be available upon request to the Point Steward.

  10. Any new club or promoter wanting to sanction a points paying AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. motocross meet must submit a security bond or cash deposit in the amount of $500, for the first year. This must be received on or before December 1 and prior to any meets being scheduled. This deposit may be returned to the club or promoter within 14 days after all scheduled meets are run and liabilities are settled or applied toward and event liabilities.

  11. AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. shall pay the Membership Director $1.00 per individual racer in the District 22 rider file to be paid at the end of the 2018 season

  12. AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. shall pay the MX points Steward $2.00 per full member, to be paid at the end of the 2018 season.

  13. AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. shall pay the Treasurer $100.00 per month, to be paid at the end of the 2018 season.

  14. AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. shall pay the Secretary $25.00 per month, to be paid at the end of the 2018 season.

Motocross Points and Rules

  1. The 2018 IOWA MOTO.COM Championship meet dates will be official December 2017.

  2. The 2018 IOWA MOTO.COM Championship will consist of the rider’s top finishes.

    1. There are 8 scheduled points’ races for 2018. Riders MUST participate in all except 1 of the races run for each class they want to be eligible in towards year end awards.

    2. There will also be an Iowa State Championship race that will be a double point’s race. This race does not count as one of the minimum needed to be eligible towards year end awards.

  1. The official 2018 meet dates will be scheduled at the yearly AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. sanctioning meeting. The official meet dates for the 2018 season will be published by January 1st, 2018.

  2. Rider point ties will be broken by the most number of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. finishes at meets with 5 or more riders in the class and by points accumulation at meets with 1-4 riders.

  1. 21st place and down will receive 1 point.

  2. No points will be awarded to any rider with the following combination of scores: DNF/DNF, DNF/DNS, DNS/DNS or DNS/DNF.

  1. End of Season Awards Criteria for qualified riders:

50cc – 1st thru 10th place class winners will be awarded. All other classes will be awarded 1st thru 5th.

  1. Dress code will conform to current AMA RULES: AMA approved helmet, goggles, long sleeved jersey, and high-top boots. (Minimum of 8” high)

  2. Motocross clubs and promoters are responsible for collecting $5.00 per entry from each points paying class at their meets. Motocross clubs or promoters must send the money to the treasurer and points to the Motocross Points Steward of AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. within 7 days of the meet. The money is to be used for the year-end awards and promotion. If not received within 15 days Motocross clubs and/or promoters may be fined $100 per occurrence.

  3. For every AMA District 22 Club Council Inc. motocross meet all points and meet cancellations will be sent to the Motocross Points Steward within 7 days after the meet. If not received within 15 days, Motocross clubs and/or promoters may be fined $100 per occurrence.

  4. Riders may not compete in 2 classes being run together in the same Moto.

  5. The 2018 IOWA MOTO.COM Championship season will run from March 1st through October 31st.
